First there was Miami Valley Idol, now there’s Miami Valley Country Idol.
Auditions have begun in the new singing contest, sponsored by Road Apple Music, as Miami Valley Idol was. The auditions are held from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the space adjacent to the Sorg Opera House at 57 S. Main St. Middletown, said Tom McClain, one of the judges.
Auditions will be held through mid-July. The registration fee is $15.
The winner of Country Idol will be crowned in mid-September. B.J. Stahl, a former Middletown resident, won Miami Valley Idol.
