HAMILTON — A. Christian Worrell III has been elected chair of the Butler County United Way.
Worrell takes the helm after serving on the Board of Trustees for the Butler County United Way since 2008 and chairing its annual campaign in 2007.
“In serving as board chair, I hope to assist our President/CEO, Maureen Noe, and our network of providers achieve the goals of making Butler County residents self-sufficient and seeing its youth grow into successful adults,” Worrell stated in a news release.
Noe said Worrell is the right person for the job.
“Chris Worrell has been an exemplary leader for our organization for the past several years. He challenges the norm, embraces changes to improve an organization’s efficiencies and leads through an inclusive approach. I look forward to achieving great results under his leadership,” Noe said.
Worrell is partner-in-charge of Graydon Head’s Butler/Warren Office, which serves the business community between Cincinnati and Dayton.
His practice is concentrated in the areas of general business, real estate, environmental and construction law. Worrell also serves in a number of volunteer capacities in the community. He is vice chair of the West Chester Liberty Chamber Alliance, chair of the Liberty Township Board of Zoning Appeals and chair of the Liberty Joint Economic Development District. He is a 1985 graduate of Northern Kentucky University and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Worrell also earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology in 1975 and master’s degree in interdisciplinary environmental studies in 1977 from the University of Cincinnati.
