HAMILTON — Booths are sold out at this year’s business expo held by the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

More than 80 booths have been reserved for the 20th annual expo and several others are hoping to squeeze in the day of the event, said Laura Merrill, expo coordinator for the chamber.

The business expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at Badin High School, 571 New London Road, Hamilton. The event and parking are free and open to the public.

About 10 food vendors will be offering free samples throughout the expo in addition to the cake the chamber will be providing as part of its 100th anniversary celebration.

With about 15 new vendors showcasing their business for the first time, Merrill said the chamber is really trying to put a focus on patronizing local places. Many participants will be selling their services and products directly at the expo.

“We are plugging ‘buy local.’ We have tons and tons of businesses around here and probably one is going to serve (your) need,” she said. “There is no need to call someone from out of town.”

New booth holders include Massage Envy, Brown Chiropractic and OwnerLand Realty.

Merrill said she is hoping a mixture of business people and local residents will attend the event. About 700 people are expected to stroll through the expo.
