Bus service between Middletown and Hamilton will begin again on Monday, May 4. The hourlong route will travel mostly along Ohio 4 between bus hubs in both cities and cost $2 each way, officials said.

This is a fabulous thing. There is very little affordable public transportation in this county. Low income workers, people with disabilities, and the elderly greatly need this service.

What is the percentage of the population of Hamilton and Middletown that will use this service? Compare that to the cost of running this service and see how long it will take at $2 per trip to recoup this money. Is it worth the cost to serve a small portion of these two cities? Doubtful.

Please do NOT EVER include taking the bus route to the new mall in Monroe, that city does not deserve anything from Middletown, Hamilton OR Butler County. Monroe only wants what is good for their self and the good ole boys councils, both the school board and city council.
If they don't want the 63 extension then don't shop in Monroe or at the Monroe mall, without outsiders the Monroe mall will not make it.
