More customers can eat chicken wings, drink beer and watch the big game when the Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar in Fairfield Twp. moves across Bypass Ohio 4 to a bigger space in Bridgewater Falls in July.

Construction started earlier this month to remodel the inside of the restaurant’s new location at Bridgewater Falls Lifestyle Shopping Center, 3417 Princeton Road, Suite 100, in the same building as Panera Bread, Kay Jewelers and Massage Envy, said Jackie Gerbus, spokeswoman for Bridgewater.

Buffalo Wild Wings’ current location has no room to expand and limited parking, said Jim Ruch, Cincinnati regional manager for Buffalo Wild Wings. Its lease ended after nine years.

“That location for us has been extremely successful, but we’re also at capacity some of the time because of the limited size,” Ruch said.

Fairfield Twp. is one of 19 Buffalo Wild Wings locations in the Cincinnati area and one of the 16 that are company-owned, Burch said. With the move, the restaurant almost doubles its seating capacity from 160 chairs to 272 chairs and 332 with a patio, he said.

It’s treating the short move as a store opening and closing, spending $1 million on new equipment and materials. He also said they will probably at least double the staff, adding 60 full- and part-time workers. Close to May 21, they will start posting jobs and conducting interviews.

Burch said usually the franchise restaurant signs a 10 year lease with two five year options.

When the switch comes in July, there will be approximately one week between the old place closing down and new one opening up, he said.

“Bridgewater Falls is excited for the energy Buffalo Wild Wings will bring to the property,” Gerbus said in a statement.

Bridgewater Falls has more than 45 stores, restaurants and services on over 60 acres, according to the property managers.
