FAIRFIELD — It may be obvious, but people will get wet if they attend The Water Show at Village Green Park.
Lane Libraries is hosting the show at Village Green’s amphitheater. The 45- to 60-minute show for children in preschool to eighth grade is presented by Family Time Entertainment.
“All ages seem to remember the great fun they’ve had playing in the water, and The Water Show captures that fun for everyone again,” according to the Indianapolis-based company’s website.
People who attend the show are advised to bring a towel and wear swimsuits, or at least clothes they don’t mind getting wet, said Lane spokeswoman Carrie Mancuso.
“It’s going to be a very wet program,” she said.
Mancuso said there will likely be “dry zones.”
The show follows the Ohio libraries’ theme of “Make A Splash — Read!”
“We try to get performers that really interact with the kids,” she said. “We try to tie things into our literacy theme. It’s a fun way to get involved with water.”
Either before or after The Water Show, Mancuso encourages kids and parents to check out a water-theme book.
“There are lot’s of great kids books about water,” Mancuso said.
The Water Show is set for 7:30 p.m. July 26 at the Village Green Park and Amphitheatre. The show also will be performed at 1 p.m. July 26 at Powerhouse Park in Hamilton, and 1 p.m. July 29 at Symmes Park in Hamilton.
