Apartment fire called 'suspicious'

HAMILTON—The Hamilton fire department is investigating an overnight fire believed to be suspicious.

At 1:24 a.m. today, Oct. 31, the firefighters responded to a structure fire at 967 Main St. The building was a vacant apartment building which is attached to two other buildings and a restaurant, according to a release from the department.

The fire was quickly brought under control and the fire did not spread to the attached properties. There were no injuries. The damage estimate is $5,000. The fire is considered suspicious and Fire Investigator Tom Angst was called to the scene to investigate.
