Annual Basketball Bash to support the ALS Association

FAIRFIELD — The high school’s Interact Club will host the annual Teacher-Class Basketball Bash at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 17 at the school.

The Teacher-Class Basketball Bash raises money for a different charity each year. This year it will to raise money for the ALS Association.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease caused by the degeneration of nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement.

The Bash starts with student teams playing in a mini-tournament. The winning team earns the right to play the teachers’ team. There will also be a dunk contest during the event.

Interact is a Rotary-sponsored club for high school students.

Fairfield High School is at 8800 Holden Blvd. and admission is $5.
