FAIRFIELD — In the age of social media, online advertising, direct mail and radio and television advertising, the world of marketing is changing.

But an upcoming workshop, “Marketing Solutions for Your Local Business,” is directed to give the tools to help businesses increase sales and thrive.

“Businesses need to get as much information and an understanding about marketing their business as they possibly can,” said President of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Kert Radel.

The workshop, from
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, will teach participants four components. Attendees will learn how to use technology to reach out to existing and potential customers, how to distribute their marketing message using free forms of communication, how to increase their “Return On Investment” by using media budget dollars most effectively, and expanding their knowledge of direct mail and Internet marketing.

Cox Media Group Ohio’s Southwest Group Publisher Edwina Blackwell Clark and sales managers from Cox will show small- to medium-sized businesses how they can take advantage of multimedia.

“I think what’s important is just for them to take a little time out of their day to get an excellent presentation from Cox and to get a good presentation on how to help in your marketing plans,” Radel said.

The workshop costs $5 and will be conducted at Workforce One of Butler County, 4631 Dixie Highway. Contact the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce at (513) 881-5500 for more information and to register.
