Gas prices down in the Dayton area

Gas prices are down in Southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley region.

Average retail gasoline prices in Dayton have fallen 14.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.06 per gallon on Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 391 gas outlets in Dayton. This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.30 per gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Dayton during the past week, prices on Sunday were 51.4 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 39.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has increased 1.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 46.6 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price for a gallon of gas in Dayton is $2.07 with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $1.98 per gallon at multiple locations in Englewood.

In the Hamilton area, the average price for a gallon of gas is $2.12 with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $2.05 per gallong at Five Points Market on Grand Bouldevard near Tylersville Road.

In the Springfield area, the average price of gas is $2.07 with prices stable. The cheapest gas is $1.99 per gallon at Marathon on Springfield-Xenia Road near Sparrow Road.
