Duluth Trading Company in West Chester hiring ahead of spring opening

Duluth Trading Company is hiring ahead of its planned spring opening at the Streets of West Chester.

“We anticipate having a staff around 38 to 40 people total,” said Emily O’Brien, a spokeswoman for the company. “We have hired all full-time positions, including a store manager, assistant manager, four supervisors and two sales associates.”

The newly constructed clothing store is still accepting applicants, who may apply through the careers page at DuluthTrading.com.

“We are still seriously seeking part-time sales associates … who work an average of 20 hours per week,” she said. “Salary depends on position and qualification.”

Duluth offers a wide variety of clothes for “modern, self-reliant men and women,” O’Brien said.

Duluth Trading Co.’s grand opening is scheduled for May 11, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. and lumberjack shows at noon and 5 p.m.

Hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

There are 17 Duluth Trading Co. store locations in the United States, with the closest existing location in Noblesville, Ind.

Duluth selected the Southwest Ohio area because of the already existing large fan base for the brand, O’Brien said.

“We pick areas of the country where people are already ordering products online, in order to better please our consumer,” she said.
