Police identify Hamilton shooting victim

HAMILTON — Police have released the name of a man shot in the leg Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 26.

Michael Maldanado, 22, of Stephen Street, Hamilton, was transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati at about 2:55 p.m. after he suffered a gunshot wound to the right thigh. His condition was not immediately available this morning, Aug. 27.

Police were called to Bailey’s Square on South Second Street for an apparent robbery, where they found Maldanado wounded, according to police.

Detectives are continuing today to investigate the incident, said Officer Rich Burkhardt, pubic affairs officer.
