OXFORD TWP. — Two people were transported to area hospitals in a rollover accident that entrapped the passenger of a truck on College Corner Pike at Taylor Road at about 11:45 a.m. today, July 30.

The passenger, 67-year-old Bob Marcum, of Brownsville Ind., was taken by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati with serious injuries at about 12:45 a.m., according to Oxford Twp. police Chief Michael Goins. The driver, John Byrd, 68, Liberty, Ind., suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, Goins said.

Drive inattention is believed to be the cause of the accident. The tree service truck, which was carrying a tree to Oxford, apparently went off the road and flipped when the driver over corrected, Goins said.
