HAMILTON — A Franklin man is being held in the Butler County Jail for robbing the same drive-through twice last week on East Avenue.
Robert J. Creech, 29, of the 6800 block of Hamilton-Middletown Road, was arrested late Saturday afternoon after robbing Minnick’s Drive Thru, 828 East Ave.
Hamilton police did not release the details of the arrest until late Monday afternoon.
The clerk said a man fitting the same description as the robber on Feb. 8 demanded money and fled on foot after the clerk complied about 4:45 p.m. Saturday, according to police.
Hamilton police responded to the scene and said they found Creech a few blocks away, where he was arrested.
Sgt. Steve Henderson said Creech allegedly robbed the drive-through about 10:25 p.m. Feb. 8, when he passed a note to a clerk demanding money or said he would shoot.
The clerk complied and Creech fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
Creech was arraigned on two charges of robbery, both second-degree felony offenses, on Monday morning in Hamilton Municipal Court. A preliminary hearing was set for Feb. 20, according to court records.
Creech remains held in the Butler County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
