HAMILTON — A 37-year-old man stabbed in the abdomen Tuesday night, Nov. 3, was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Shortly before 9 p.m., emergency crews responded to an apartment building in the 500 block of South Front Street, according to Hamilton dispatchers. Air Care landed at Badin High School to pick up the victim, according to dispatch reports.

The man’s name was not released by Hamilton police Tuesday night, and his condition was not available.

A woman called from an apartment and told the 911 dispatcher that police assistance was needed because someone had been stabbed, according to Hamilton police spokesman Rich Burkhardt, who said the black male was stabbed inside the apartment.

The man was sitting up and conscious at the scene, according to witnesses.

No further details were immediately available.
