About an hour later, Agee was told by an administrator three people were arguing with another student and made reference to a weapon, according to the police report.

Lt. David Birk said officers determined both incidents were a matter of talk and there was no gun at the school.

“We searched everything,” Birk said.

The 15-year-old boy who allegedly ran from the classroom after mentioning a gun said it was a joke, according to police. But the boy was charged with misdemeanor inducing panic.
