Suspects arrested in robbery of Jake Harris of 'Deadliest Catch'

Two people were arrested in Washington on Tuesday in connection with the robbery of "Deadliest Catch" star Jake Harris, according to Everett police.

Harris, 33, is recovering in a hospital after a severe beating and robbery over the weekend. Authorities said two suspects have since been apprehendend in Spokane.

They will face charges of robbery after Everett detectives take custody of the pair. It is not known if they will face assault charges as well. Police have not released their names.

Harris' brother, Cornelia Marie Capt. Josh Harris, shared details of the attack in live videos on the official Facebook page for Deadliest Catch - F/V Cornelia Marie.

Josh Harris said his brother was in intensive care unit with a "cracked skull" and brain trauma. Jake Harris was listed in satisfactory condition on Monday.

Josh Harris identified that a man and a woman from Spokane who are suspected of attacking Jake Harris. He said the "word on the street" is that they were involved in similar attacks before, in which the victims were beaten and their money was stolen. However, Everett police said they had not heard of any similar incidents.

Josh Harris also showed the suspects' pictures and named them in one of the Facebook videos, although authorities did not immediately confirm their identities.

Police said the Harris family is cooperating with the investigation.

Everett officers were called around 8 p.m. Saturday to the 700 block of Southeast Highway 526 for a report of an injured man on the side of the highway.

Arriving officers found the man, Harris, with neck and head injuries. He told officers he had been at the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Marysville, where he met up with a man, the man's girlfriend and another woman that he had befriended the day before.

The man and his girlfriend agreed to give Harris a ride home, and they drove him into Everett.

Harris told police that after making a stop, the man sat behind him and started to attack him as they drove. He said he blacked out and woke up on the side of the highway with his wallet and $2,400 cash missing.

Everett fire medics responded, gave Harris treatment and recommended that he go to the hospital, but he declined.

An officer drove him home to Lake Stevens, where his girlfriend took him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett - Colby Campus.
