UPDATE: 2 dead in suspected Butler County murder-suicide

UPDATE @ 8:24 a.m.

The Butler County sheriff’s office believes an incident involving two killed in shootings on Sunday in Hanover Twp. was a murder-suicide.

Officials responded to the 3100 block of Morman Road at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on the report of a shooting, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. They found two people in the garage with gunshot wounds.

The man, identified as 61-year-old William Sandlin, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, 45-year-old Michelle Sandlin, died shortly after being flown to University of Cincinnati Hospital.

The Sandlins were married, the sheriff’s office said.

A man and woman are dead following a shooting on Sunday in Hanover Twp., according to our news partner WCPO.

Medics and deputies were called at 9:25 p.m. to the 3100 block of Morman Road in Hanover Twp.

The man was dead at the scene, and the woman was transported to a nearby medical center, according to Butler County dispatchers.

INITIAL REPORT

Two people were reportedly shot Sunday night in Butler County.

Medics and deputies were called at 9:25 p.m. to the 3100 block of Morman Road in Hanover Twp.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office dispatch confirmed crews were on scene, but only described the incident as a “situation” under investigation.

An AirCare medical helicopter was called to the scene.
