Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Butler County suffers serious injuries

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Friday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle.

The crash happened about 2:50 p.m., according to a release from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies along with Monroe Fire and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Oxford State Road and South Main Street in Lemon Twp. for a female pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

The victim was taken to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown with serious injuries, and subsequently transferred to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton for further treatment.

The cause of the crash in under investigation and the name, age and condition of the pedestrian has not been released.
