Man charged with murder pleads guilty to Hamilton robbery

A Hamilton man charged with murder for the October stabbing death of Joshua Combs has entered a guilty plea to robbery.

Donald Moss Jr., 30, of Webster Street, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the homicide of Combs, 41, who was found dead in his Cereal Avenue residence on Oct. 29.

Moss was also charged with robbing the Riverview Market on the same day Combs was found dead.

Last week, Moss pleaded guilty in Butler County Common Pleas court to the robbery. He faces up to eight years in prison.

Hamilton police say Moss entered the store on North B Street with a pellet gun and demanded money and cigarettes. He was tracked and eventually chased down by officers.

Moss is being held in the Butler County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond. He is scheduled to stand trial May 1 for Combs’ murder.

Combs was “stabbed numerous times in the head and neck,” according to court documents recently obtained by this news outlet.
