Bond set at $500,000 for second man accused in firefighter’s death

Bond has been set for a man accused of lighting the fire that killed a Hamilton firefighter in 2015.

William "Billy" Tucker entered not guilty pleas today in a Butler County courtroom to charges of aggravated arson and murder.

His bond was also set today at at $500,000.

Tucker was arrested in Richmond, Ky., earlier this month and brought back to Ohio last week.

This morning, Tucker's uncle Lester Parker, the owner of the Pater Avenue home where firefighter Patrick Wolterman died on Dec. 28, 2015, was in court for pretrial hearing. At the hearing Assistant Butler Prosecutor David Kash said the state intends to try the men together.

Prosecutors say Parker solicited Tucker to light the fire where Wolterman fell through the floor into the basement while fighting the blaze.
