“We need some medical assistance and try to get to her because there is no response,” the female 911 caller told dispatch. “We need medical attention immediately. We don’t know whether or not she’s taken her life — she has some mental health issues.”

The Goodwill helper can be heard in the background stating that the woman kept hanging up on him when he tried to call her and the door was locked.
“We need her to be checked on because she has never not allowed the Goodwill helper to enter the residence,” the 911 caller said.
Police received a call around noon asking for a welfare check at an apartment in the Landings at Beckett Ridge, according to township spokeswoman Barb Wilson.
“When they went to check on the individual, there was a female in the unit with a gun pointed to her head,” Wilson said.
“The female was taken into custody without incident at about 2:30 p.m.,” Wilson said.

She added that the woman was transported to Atrium Medical Center for a mental evaluation, and there will be no charges filed against her.
Several first responders, including an armored vehicle, police vehicles and fire trucks, responded to the apartment development, located at 8251 Landings Blvd., just off Smith Road.
Several residents said they were asked by police to leave their apartments while officers outside had guns drawn.
