The Oxford Chamber of Commerce, along with Talawanda schools, The Skillman Corporation and Steed Hammond and Paul, is hosting a contractors luncheon, welcoming all who are interested in getting involved with the completion of the new Talawanda High School.
This luncheon will be at noon Thursday, July 23, at Kona Bistro, 31 W. High St., uptown Oxford.
This luncheon will offer a detailed look at the project in hopes of keeping the local business community involved.
JoNell Rowan, chamber president, said this is a giant project and the group hopes to get as much local participation as possible.
“We are excited and hoping to keep work local,” Rowan said.
Robert Pollitt, the regional manager at the Skillman Corporation, and Michael P. Dingeldein, the vice president in architecture at SHP Leading Design, will both take part in the presentation.
Dr. Phil Cagwin, superintendent of the Talawanda School District, said this is an important event for local businesses.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local contractors to take part in construction,” Cagwin said.
This informative luncheon is expected to last until 1:30 p.m.
The cost for this event is $15 per chamber member and $20 per nonmember.
Those interested in attending should RSVP to the Oxford Chamber at (513) 523-5200 or e-mail JoNell Rowan at jonell@
