Employee benefits solutions provider Chard Snyder announced today it will invest $9.3 million and bring 250 jobs to the city in the next three years.
Chard Snyder will build a new 53,000-square-foot corporate headquarters facility on Cintas Boulevard directly west of the Seapine Software/Perforce Software headquarters at 6960 Cintas Blvd. in Mason.
The move is expected to create new momentum for Mason’s ongoing strategy to cultivate a culture of corporate wellness and entrepreneurial success, company officials said.
Chard Snyder officials said the company outgrew its current Deerfield Twp. headquarters, where “expansion was not an option.”
Moving to the Interstate 71 corridor site in Mason positions the company for future growth.
“We’re excited to join the range of entrepreneurial firms in the I-71 Innovation Corridor in the City of Mason,” Joy Snyder, president of Chard Snyder, said in a statement. “Being located on Cintas Boulevard provides us both the access, as well as the positive energy of a collaborative service and technology hub.”
Chard Snyder will construct and own a new two-story facility and bring an initial 165 employees and an anticipated 100 additional employees within three years.
Total new job creation of nearly 250 employees will bring new payroll of $8.5 million.
“We carefully choose companies that can run with us as we create a strong culture of wellness and entrepreneurship,” Mason Mayor Victor Kidd. “Chard Snyder’s commitment to financial well-being fits perfectly with the City of Mason’s service-driven mindset and wellness culture.”
Starting this spring, major work will take place in this area, with the construction of a full movement interchange that will improve safety and access to businesses, residents and visitors to the area.
Founded in 1988 in the garage of Ken Chard and Joy Snyder, the company started as a small enterprise administering Section 125 flexible benefit plans. Chard Snyder now provides employee benefit solutions to more than 1,400 employers throughout North America, across many industries.
