Village Manager Sherry Callahan will be retiring effective March 31, or until a replacement can be hired, Village Council announced Tuesday.

Callahan has served as Carlisle’s village manager since 2008.

“It has been my pleasure and honor to serve as village manager these past 8½ years,” Callahan said. “I am proud to end my career in Carlisle. I hope the village continues to grow and prosper in the years to come.”

Mayor Randy Winkler said council will accept resumes for about 30 days. Callahan will assist in the selection of her successor because she has a background in human resources, he said.

“We want to get it done as soon as possible, but we want to make the right choice,” he said.
