1 injured after car, semi collide on Seward Road in Fairfield

UPDATE @ 3:53 p.m.:

The two-vehicle crash occurred when a white, four-door Chevy Malibu rear-ended a semi truck with a flatbed trailer hitched to it.

A male driver was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati by medical helicopter.

The identity of the injured driver is unknown at this time.

INITIAL REPORT:

A semi-trailer and a passenger vehicle collided near the CSX railroad crossing on Seward Road in Fairfield at around 2:30 p.m., according to police dispatch.

One person is unconscious and a medical helicopter is preparing to transport that person to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
