3 Butler County road closures that may affect your commute this week

Several road closures may affect your commute this week.

1. Ohio 129 in Hamilton

Eastbound Ohio 129 between Fair Avenue and Hampshire Drive in Hamilton will be reduced to one lane on Monday, Oct. 9.

The lane closure will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. and is necessary for landscaping on the median, according to the city.

2. Columbia Bridge in Hamilton

Bridge work on Ohio 128 (Columbia Bridge) over the Great Miami River continues to cause lane restrictions.

There will be various lane closures and shifts in both directions of the bridge while crews work on pavement, sidewalk and railing repair, and substructure work under the bridge.

The restrictions are expected to be in effect through the end of October, according to the Butler County Engineer’s Office.

3. Dayton Street and Riverfront Plaza in Hamilton

Dayton Street between Riverfront Plaza and N. 2nd Street as well as Riverfront Plaza between Market Street and Dayton Street will be closed to through traffic daily until June 29.

Detours are posted.

The closure is necessary for roadway improvements that are part of the Dayton Street/Riverfront Plaza Streetscape project, according to the city.
