Rental space in former school board building available to nonprofit groups

Staff Report

HAMILTON — A building that once housed the Hamilton City Schools Board of Education offices has been revitalized and has open rental space.

The building at 332 Dayton St., now called the Center for Community Revitalization, is owned by Community Development Professionals. CDP bought it in 2010 at an auction and moved into the space in May 2010.

The building has had renovations and is ready for occupancy, CDP leaders said.

“We had a vision to create a hub for innovative community revitalization efforts while providing a location for community nonprofits to lease space and receive training and consulting services,” said CDP’s president and CEO Mindy Finnerty. “We feel very blessed for the opportunity to purchase this space and repurpose it to benefit the community,” she said CDP is offering rental space to full-time tenants, but also has a training room or board room that may be rented for single use.
