HAMILTON — Five people who have made a major impact in the community were inducted into the Junior Achievement Greater Butler County Business Hall of Fame on Thursday at the Courtyard by Marriott.

Inductees were:

• Michael P. Dingeldein, principal partner and vice president of architecture at SHP Leading Design and managing partners of the Hamilton office;

• William R. Foster, a former Butler County Engineer who served the longest in office from 1976-94;

• William C. Keck of Millikin & Fitton Law Firm;

• Mary Reimer, an accountant with GBR Group LLC;

• Craig F. Wilks of Wilks Insurance Agency.

They were selected by a committee based on their outstanding contributions to the community in business and service, said Carol M. Lucio, executive director of Junior Achievement of OKI Partners.

“It’s a very elite group,” Lucio said. “It means that they are the best of the best. They are the kind of people who young people should be looking up to.”

The honorees join more than 70 who have been inducted into the Business Hall of Fame.

Dingeldein and others credited their families, co-workers, community members and friends for helping them.

Dingeldein also said he was humbled to be included in a class with such notable area business leaders.

“It’s something I will treasure my whole life,” Dingeldein said.

Reimer, who volunteers an average of 10 hours a week and has held several leadership roles with the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, said she was honored to be inducted into the hall of fame.

“It’s pretty amazing to be recognized for what you love to do.”
