Empowerment Series luncheon focuses on women and stress

FAIRFIELD — Empowering women and giving them the tools to succeed is the goal of the Women’s Life Empowerment Series, which is holding its fourth luncheon Wednesday, Nov. 3.

“Women need a push. They need help. We’re doing more in these times, and anyway I can empower women in important to me,” said Natasha Bryant, chairperson for the Women’s Empowerment Luncheons.

At the Nov. 3 luncheon, Dr. Lynn Haley will give a presentation on how to handle stress at home and at work, a topic Bryant said past attendees indicated they were interested in.

The setup of the lunch and presentation will be more interactive than what guests may be used to, said Fairfield Chamber President and CEO Kert Radel. Haley, a clinical psychologist, will answer questions from Bryant in an interview type format, and then the audience will have the chance to ask questions.

“The people have really commented on how they enjoy the interaction,” Radel said.

Networking opportunities will also be available throughout the lunch, and the afternoon will end with a “fun event,” said Radel, with a make-up demonstration by Nicole Kobman of Mary Kay cosmetics.

“We’re very happy to provide something for the working business women and give them the opportunity to network,” Radel said.
