Boy, 12, remains behind bars; charged with pushing neighbor from roof

A 12-year-old Oxford boy facing a felony charge for allegedly pushing a young neighbor off a roof remains in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.

The boy is charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony. He was booked into the county juvenile facility on July 22, according to Butler County Juvenile Court Administrator Rob Clevenger.

On July 25, a magistrate ordered the boy to remain behind bars until his pre-trial hearing later this week before Judge Kathleen Romans.

A 9-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after falling from the roof of a trailer onto a trampoline, according to Oxford police.

After falling onto the edge of a trampoline the morning of July 21, Jackson “Jack” Loyd, 9, is still recovering at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
