Area college named third best party school in the country

Miami University was the highest ranked Ohio “party school” in Niche’s 2017 Top Party Schools list.

Miami ranked third in the U.S., just behind the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and top rated Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Niche is a website that analyzes public data and reviews to produce rankings and reports for schools, colleges and neighborhoods in the U.S., according to its website.

The party school honor is one administrators at the school have been trying to fight in the past year. The school saw a spike in alcohol-related hospitalizations in February and in late January a student was found dead in her dorm room after a night of heavy drinking.
