The program allows students to pursue a general MBA or an advanced standing MBA that can be completed in just one year, according to the university. The advanced standing option is primarily for individuals with a recent undergraduate degree in business.
The online program aims to match the quality and rigor of UD’s on-campus MBA program by adhering to the same admissions standards, according to the university. UD faculty and executives-in-residence will teach weekly courses through live online classes.
The online program is part of a partnership with education technology company, 2U Inc., according to the university.
“2U has a successful record with prominent universities delivering best-in-class online education,” UD president Eric Spina said in a prepared statement. “Their platform will allow us to expand the reach of our distinctive business education while retaining the close relationships between faculty and students that are hallmarks of the UD experience.”
