HAMILTON — Three teens were arrested after a surveillance camera helped police identify them while they were stealing cough syrup.

Roy Allen Street, 18, of the 2300 block of West Elkton Road, is charged with theft; Kailee Paige Lovins, 19, of the 1300 block of Summer Street, and Ashley Nicole Bowman, 18, of the 200 block of Howman Avenue, are both charged with complicity, according to police records.

Police were called in the early morning hours Monday, March 9, to a report of a theft in progress at CVS Pharmacy, 28 N Brookwood Ave. Police said Street, Lovins and Bowman fled the scene but were arrested a short time later during a traffic stop. Police identified the suspects through the store's video surveillance and two bottles of Delsym cough syrup were recovered as evidence, according to records.
