Oxford man accused of striking, kicking woman in dispute

Wednesday, January 07, 2009

Oxford police arrested a 25-year-old Oxford man who allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face and kicked her in the back during a dispute.

Brandon Saylor, 5201 College Corner Pike #71, reportedly got into a heated argument with his 21-year-old live-in girlfriend on Dec. 31 and eventually punched her in the face. The victim fell to the ground, where she told police Saylor kicked her in the back.

When the victim refused to leave the apartment until police arrived, Saylor allegedly grabbed her by the hair and forced her out of the residence.

Officers observed the right side of the victim's face looked as though it had been struck, but were unable to locate Saylor at the site of incident. Saylor was found a short time later as a nearby trailer, but told officers he had been struck in the face by his girlfriend and received a lip injury.

Coincidentally, police had been at the same residence earlier in the evening on reports of Saylor fighting with a different subject, noting he had actually sustained the lip injury during that altercation. Saylor was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Butler County Jail.
