LIBERTY TWP. — The new EDGE Teen Center is expected to open in early February and will conduct three informative sessions for the public.

Sessions are scheduled for 1-2 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Jan. 15 and 10-11 a.m. Jan. 17. They are designed to educate adults about the center and help them identify ways they can volunteer.

EDGE Teen Center will have a cafe with smoothies and snacks, pool tables, a lounge, video game area, internet cafe and study rooms. Its mission is to "empower students to impact the world," according to a release. There will be a focus on mentoring relationships between high school students and caring adults.

EDGE Teen Center's address is 7568 Wyandot Lane, near Lakota East High School. It is operated by the no-profit organization Axis Teen Centers and is the pilot center for Butler County.

To learn more and to volunteer, call Dorothy Coleman, chair of the center's advisory team, at (513) 545-2481 or go online to www.edgeteencenter.com.
