Two men remain in jail Wednesday, Dec. 3, on felony robbery charges after police said they worked together to steal money and other items from two local woman.
West Chester Twp. Police said Katrell Jenkins, 19, of 9707 Overview Lane, Cincinnati, was welcomed into an apartment in the 6600 block of Lakeside Drive during the afternoon hours of Nov. 29 by 20-year-old Johnathon Longmire, of 6700 Lakeside Drive, Apt. 319 E.
After entering the apartment, police said Jenkins held the two women — ages 17 and 18 — at gunpoint, robbed them of more than $600 in cash and their cell phones and then fled on foot.
No one was injured, and police said the victims helped to identify the suspects.
Later that night, Jenkins turned himself in to Forest Park Police. Longmire turned himself in to West Chester Police the following day, according to Detective Lori Beiser, of the West Chester Police Department.
Jenkins is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. He was arraigned via video in Butler County Area III Court Monday, and remains at the Butler County Jail on a $40,180 bond. Longmire was charged with two counts of complicity to aggravated robbery, also a first degree felony. He was arraigned earlier this week and remains at the Butler County Jail on a $60,180 bond.
Both men are due to appear in Butler County Area III Court for preliminary hearings Dec. 9.
If convicted, they each could face up to 20 years in prison.
