Man struck by vehicle after leaving Eldora Speedway

NEW WESTON, Darke Co. — A man who was attempting to cross a road after leaving Eldora Speedway was struck by a Ford Explorer on Saturday night, according to the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
Scott L. Klahn, 27, of Lake Odessa, Mich., was struck while attempting to cross North Star Ft. Loramie Road, just east of State Route 118 at about 11:35 p.m.

Rhonda F. Tauber, 44, of Hamlet, Ind., was driving the car that hit Klahn. She was released from the scene.
Darke County deputies, along with Spirit Medical Transport, were dispatched to the scene. Rossburg Fire Department responded to the scene to create a landing site for a medical helicopter.
Klahn was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. There was no information on his condition on Sunday.
