A Butler County grand jury returned 27 indictments during its third session in April. The grand jury also returned nine cases to the lower courts for further disposition.
Donald J. Toran, 29, 5447 Southgate Blvd., Fairfield; indicted on one count each of trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana (direct), having weapons while under disability, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia (direct), and certified back to the lower court on one count each of driving under suspension and obeying traffic control devices.
Joseph Blankenship, 36, at large; indicted on one count each of aggravated possession of drugs, possession of cocaine and possession of drugs.

The theft of a car stereo and cell phone occurred from a locked vehicle parked in the 4300 block of Dixie Highway between 12:30 and 3:45 p.m. April 16. Reported total value is $565. It was reported there was no damage to the vehicle.
The theft of a vehicle occurred from Avis Rent-A-Car, 5140 Dixie Highway before 11 a.m. April 17, after someone rented the vehicle and did not return it. Reported value is $20,000.
The theft of a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Governors Drive occurred between 7 and 8:54 p.m. April 17. Reported value is $5,500.
The theft of four tires with rims and two oxygen/acetylene tanks from a locked trailer parked at J.B. Diesel Service, 8320 Seward Road occurred between 8 p.m. April 17 and 7 a.m. April 21 after someone cut off the lock to the trailer. Reported total value is $2,150.
A Fairfield man, 36, was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired at 1:49 a.m. April 18 on Merlin Drive at Sherwood Drive.
The theft of a vehicle parked in the 5800 block of Ross Road occurred between 5:40 and 6 p.m. April 18. Reported value is $18,000.
A Fairfield man, 47, was arrested on suspicion of inducing panic and unlawful restraint at 2:42 p.m. April 19 in the 5200 block of Southgate Boulevard.
The theft of two chain saws from a locked work box in a truck parked at Intown Suites, 6785 Fairfield Business Drive occurred between 1 and 10:30 p.m. April 20. Reported total value is $500.
A Hamilton man, 36, was arrested at 7:11 p.m. April 21 at the Butler County Jail on suspicion of felony unauthorized use of a motor vehicle for an offense on Fairfield Business Drive.
A Fairfield man, 38, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. April 22 in the 5200 block of Southgate Boulevard on suspicion of assault, aggravated menacing and felony abduction.
A Hamilton man, 29, was arrested at 5:52 a.m. April 23 in the 1100 block of Symmes Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired and drug possession.
The theft of a vehicle parked at Car Connections, 4425 Dixie Highway occurred before 9:30 a.m. April 23. Reported value is $9,650.
A Fairfield man, 28, and Fairfield woman, 21, were both arrested at 6:35 p.m. April 23 in the 5100 block of Capitol Hill Drive on suspicion of violating a protection order and endangering children.
A Fairfield man, 19, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. April 25 in the 5100 block of Dixie Highway on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
A Hamilton man, 45, was arrested at 3:04 a.m. April 25 in the 1100 block of Symmes Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired.
A Fairfield man, 18, was arrested at 11 p.m. April 25 in the 500 block of Brookfield Drive on suspicion of felony burglary.
A Fairfield man, 26, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. April 27 on Wesleyan Court on suspicion of telecommunications harassment.

The theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked at M&M Used Cars, 2790 Tylersville Road, occurred between midnight April 20 and 2:18 p.m. April 21.
A Hamilton man, 32, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. April 26, on Ohio 4 west of Greenlawn Road on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired. The man claimed that a female passenger's attentions caused him to swerve, according to reports.
A Fairfield Twp. man, 19, was arrested at 3:10 a.m. April 25, on Bypass Ohio 4 north of Princeton Road on suspicion of speeding and operating a vehicle while impaired. The man, who told police he did not consume any more than five or six beers, was found to have a blood alcohol content of .22, nearly three times the legal limit.
A Fairfield Twp. man, 53, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Sunday, April 20, at Ohio 4 and Allison Avenue on suspicion of operating a vehicle while impaired. The man, who was driving 20 to 30 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone, was found to have a blood alcohol content of .213, nearly three times the legal limit.

The theft of two computers valued at $1,000 each occurred April 23 from Ohio Farm Bureau at 6511 West Chester Road.
Unknown thieves caused $30,000 in damage to a home under construction in the 8000 block of Vegas Circle when they attempted to steal a refrigerator and cut a water line April 23.
The theft of a television valued at $1,300 occurred April 23 at an office building in the 9400 bock of Meridian Way.
A 10-year-old Hamilton juvenile was charged April 24 with theft after allegedly attempting to steal a cell phone valued at $300 at Freedom elementary School at 6035 Beckett Ridge Boulevard.
The theft of a catalytic converter valued at $500 occurred April 24 from a vehicle parked in the 7300 block of Cox Road.
The theft of a computer valued at $2,700 and another computer valued at $2,000, a video game system valued at $199 and a web camera valued at $40 occurred April 24 at a home in the 4900 block of Buckhorn Drive.
The theft of copper wire valued at $3,000 occurred April 25 at a construction site in the 5400 block of Duff Drive.
The theft of a GPS unit valued at $500, a TV valued at $629 and a speaker box valued at $425 occurred April 25 in an unlocked car in the 7900 block of Bobtail Court.
The theft of two video game systems valued at $400 each, one video game system valued at $200, one video game system valued at $150, a computer monitor valued at $400 and a digital camera valued at $150 occurred April 25 at a home in the 10000 block of Daycrest Drive.
A 22-year-old Fairfield man was charged April 25 with drug trafficking after police found him in possession of marijuana. The suspect was taken to the Butler County Jail.
