Michel Veillette, accused of killing his wife and four children and setting their house on fire, appeared in court Wednesday afternoon shortly after being released from a hospital.

Veillette, 34, is charged with aggravated murder and arson. He did not enter a plea, because he told the judge that he did not have a lawyer.

Judge Andrew Batsche scheduled another hearing for 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Mason Municipal Court.

Veillette wore an orange jumpsuit with "Warren County Jail" on the back. His wrists and ankles were cuffed and police officers accompanied him into court after the trip from University Hospital in Cincinnati. He was to be taken to the county jail in Lebanon.

Veillette stood before the judge and had visible injuries on his face and the back of his head.
