Hamilton Police Department
Chadwick Winston Collins, 20, address unknown, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of theft of over $500 worth of property.

Calvin Gene Martin, 40, of the 500 block of Heaton Street, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of assault on a peace officer. Police reported Martin was getting into the prison van when he spat on the face and shirt of the police officer.
Orville James Bailey, 61, of the 100 block of Starr Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Police reported Bailey failed to yield when turning and crashed into a truck. Police reported Bailey admitted to having several beers and taking pain medication. His reported blood alcohol content was .174.
Tiffany Marie Foley, 28, of the 800 block of Fairview Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and having an open container in a motor vehicle. Police reported her blood alcohol content was .081.
Verlon Ray Martin, 21, of the 1000 block of Woyes Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 2 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Police reported his blood alcohol content was .133.
William J. Presley, 47, of the 3200 block of Tuscarora Court, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 2 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Police reported Presley was driving over the double center line. Police reported Presley hit a traffic barrel and seemed very disoriented, slow to respond to requests or questions and was unable to complete a field sobriety test.
Crystal Gayle Leggett, 23, of the 400 block of Weaver Avenue, Middletown, was arrested Sept. 2 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and driving under suspension. Police reported Leggett said she had two or three beers about an hour before being stopped. Police said her blood alcohol content was .099.
Danielle Davidson Sizemore, 26, of the 900 block of Walter Avenue, Fairfield, was arrested Sept. 2 on charges of theft. Police reported Sizemore hid several pieces of make-up in her purse and left without paying for them.
Veronica June Morris, 53, of the 2600 block of River Road, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 2 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence and driving under suspension. Police reported Morris drove up onto the curb and through a yard, driving over several bushes. Police reported Morris admitted to taking several medications.
Jack Wayne Vanover, 29, of the 1900 block of Logan Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 3 on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police reported Vanover was driving a car and found to have license forfeiture suspensions. Police reported finding a plastic bag of marijuana and rolling papers.
Kevin A. Stevens, 34, address unknown, was arrested Sept. 3 on charges of drug abuse, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business. Police reported Stevens was in a hand to hand transaction in a high drug trafficking area with a known drug trafficker, then placed items in his mouth, trying to swallow, and fled on foot. Police reported Stevens had a white chalky substance on his tongue that tested positive for cocaine.
Randy Arnaz Mathis, 44, of the 1200 block of Edison Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 4 on charges of domestic violence. Police reported Mathis grabbed a female by her throat and started choking her, and also struck the female in the face and leg.
Shawn Joseph Lower, 27, of the 1000 block of Dixie Highway, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 5 on charges of criminal trespassing, theft and disorderly conduct. Police reported Lower was a suspect in a car theft and attempted to run from police trespassing onto private property. Police reported Lower appeared to be intoxicated.
Amber Nichole Moses, 30, of the 800 block of Noyes Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 6 on charges of domestic violence. Police reported Moses struck a male in the face and mouth several times.
Timothy Scott Moses, 27, of the 800 block of Moyes Avenue, Hamilton, was arrested Sept. 6 on charges of domestic violence. Police reported Moses grabbed a female by the neck and threw her on the couch.
Butler County Sheriff's Office
Deputies responded Aug. 24 to Ross Police Department for a report of theft. Deputies reported someone rented a Rug Doctor from IGA in Ross Township and failed to return it. Deputies said they were unable to make contact with the renter.
On Aug. 24, deputies responded to Krogers, 7300 Yankee Road, Middletown, for a report of theft. Deputies reported a female concealed diet pills in her purse and left the store without paying.
Deputies responded Aug. 24 to The Auto Livery, 4168 Hamilton Cleves Road, Hamilton, for a report of theft. Deputies reported three trailers were taken from the lot. Deputies reported the trailers had items inside of them.
On Aug. 25, deputies responded to United Dairy Farmers, 4255 Hamilton Middletown Road, Liberty Township, for a report of theft. Deputies reported someone pumped gas and left without paying for it.
Deputies responded Aug. 26 to the 5500 block of Sunrise View Circle, Middletown, for a report of theft. Deputies reported a decorative lawn fence was taken from the yard.
On Aug. 25, deputies reported that while they were at Edgewood High School they spoke with a Liberty Township resident who stated someone has been using his credit card to make purchases without his permission.
Deputies responded Aug. 25 to Rice Auto Body in Hanover Township for a report of theft. Deputies reported an employee's debit card was being used by someone else without his permission.
On Aug. 25, deputies responded to the Woodbine Road, Hamilton, for a report of theft. Deputies reported a pistol was stolen from the property.
Deputies responded Aug. 25 to the 3000 block of Jacksonburg Road, Hamilton, for a report of theft of a motor vehicle. Deputies reported a car was taken from the property without the owner's permission.
On Aug. 25, deputies responded to lobby of the Sheriff's Office for a report of telecommunications harassment. Deputies reported a Middletown resident had received a threatening message on her phone.
Deputies responded Aug. 25 to the 100 block of Barnum Street, Hamilton, for a report of burglary and theft. Deputies reported someone broke into the house and took DVDs, clothing and several other items.
Zachary Scott Hennessy, 18, of the 7500 block of Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, was arrested Aug. 26 on charges of criminal trespassing and receiving stolen property. Deputies reported Hennessy broke into several cars and took items including phones and money.
On Aug. 26, deputies responded to the 8000 block of Millikin Road, Liberty Township, for a report of cultivation of marijuana. Deputies reported while owner was mowing, he discovered what appeared to be marijuana plants.
A Butler County grand jury returned 41 indictments during its third session in August. The grand jury also sent six cases back to the lower courts for further disposition.
