Center grows with a new campus

Liberty Twp. child care facility adds an 8,200-square-foot building.

A Liberty Twp. child care center is scheduled to kick off its fourth year of business later this month with an addition aimed at serving its growing client base.

All About Kids Childcare and Learning Center's new 8,200-square-foot building at 7015 Yankee Road — "Campus B" — will accommodate about 164 children between 4 and 12 years old. About 140 children age 6 weeks to 4 years old will attend classes at "Campus A," the 10,000-square-foot facility the business opened in 2005.

With several acres available next door, a decision was made to purchase the land and expand. The move makes All About Kids the largest child care center in the area, said owner Jim Kaiser.

That decision was born out of necessity, Kaiser said. "We were pretty much close to capacity," he said. "We were having to turn kids down."

The new building allows existing classes, which advance every six months, to spread out. Before the expansion, the center had room for 64 school-aged children. Now it now can accommodate 108.

For the new building's interior, Kaiser turned to New Directions Industries, a Cincinnati-based design manufacture install for interior environments, that used primary colors to create an eye-catching facility.

NDI President Jim Jaeger said the environment builds upon All About Kids' existing elements.

"We wanted to upgrade his current facility with a more friendly theme that is more geared toward the children and creates an exciting atmosphere that keeps it enjoyable for the kids to be there and learn," Jaeger said.

The company also used environmentally-friendly products when designing the new site, including non-toxic paints and biodegradable flooring.

"Jim's really on the cutting edge and looking out for his clients — the children," Jaeger said. "He really went the extra mile to make sure he created that."

The new building also features a more spacious outdoor play area with a new basketball court with an adjustable basketball rim.
