Located in southwestern Ohio, about 20 miles north of Cincinnati, the City of Fairfield is home to 45,000 residents. Situated along the northern loop of Interstate 275, Fairfield is conveniently positioned within minutes of a variety of recreational, cultural and business areas. The City's direct interstate connections via Union Centre Boulevard and State Route 4 provide convenient access to I-275, I-75, I-71 and I-74. State Route 4 and Bypass 4 also offer a quick, direct route to the Butler County Regional Airport.

Badin vs. Fairfield
Badin High School hosted Fairfield on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012. Determined to get back to what coach Tom Sunderman called “defense with attitude,” Badin relentlessly attacked an Indians squad still reeling from losing its All-Ohio senior leader to a stress fracture. The end result was a 66-27 blowout that lifted the host Rams to their fifth consecutive victory.

Vigil held for missing woman
A vigil was held for Katelyn Markham Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at the police and fire memorial in Fairfield. Markham has been missing since August 2011. More than 75 family, friends and concerned residents conducted a candlelight vigil, walking from the Fairfield Patterson Place shopping plaza on Patterson Drive to the city’s police and fire department memorial on Pleasant Avenue to encourage people not to forgot Markham. She was last seen Aug. 13, at her Dorshire Drive townhouse, but authorities say there was no evidence of a crime.

Badin High School hosted Dayton Christian in boys basketball on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, in Hamilton. Badin started fast and never let up. The Rams raced to a 13-point advantage after one quarter and led by as many as 24 in the fourth before settling for a 57-38 triumph at Mulcahey Gym.
