Beach Waterpark adds snow for Beach Mountain

Tubing down slides: outdoor fun for family.

Whether guests are looking for something to do over winter break, or on weekends, snow tubing at Beach Mountain provides winter fun for all ages. In its third season, the attraction will be open through Sunday, March 5.

“Beach Mountain is close and convenient, and it’s a good activity for everyone in the family,” said Sandra Gore, general manager of Beach Mountain.

“We are open. We’re here, and we have snow. We make it every single day,” she said.

The Mason-based attraction’s focus is centered around snow tubing. Snow tubing is a popular, winter activity that doesn’t require experience or expensive clothing or gear. Guests can get on a tube, and be prepared for a fun, snow-tubing adventure. Trained staff members will supervise the run and provide guests with helpful information.

A snow tubing session at Beach Mountain will cost $19.99 and visitors can take unlimited slides down a 400-feet-long hill. Tubes are provided and are available in a variety of sizes.

Children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride. Tubers ride down individually, and when they are done, they can climb on the “magic carpet” conveyer-belt lift, which will take them back to the top for another ride. Beach Mountain has 10 tubing lanes.

“This is a way for families to spend time together, and everyone can have a good time,” Gore said.

With each visit, young guests can play in the snow, or make snowmen and snow angels in the play area. Guests of all ages will enjoy concessions from the Beach Mountain chalet. There are more than 100,000 holiday lights on the property.

The attraction will offer a teen night on Friday, Jan 13. Teens can purchase a ticket for $13 to tube that day from 4-9 p.m. College nights will be offered every Saturday throughout the month of January. College students can go tubing for $10 with a valid college ID. Family tubing nights will continue through Friday, Jan. 6. The cost on a family tubing night is $50 for four guests.

“We pride ourselves on having a family-friendly atmosphere. Birthday parties are always popular here. We have a heated pavilion for birthday parties,” Gore said.

As part of a birthday party package, guests will enjoy unlimited tubing, followed by pizza and soft drinks or hot chocolate in the pavilion.
