Toots, it sounds like someone needs to do something about the staff. If their actions are a hindrance to the operation, then that should be taken under consideration by someone.I must say I was looking forward to devoting my time and resources and I'm deeply disappointed to hear these things.

Please do not decide NOT to volunteer. Those dogs need to get out; they are used to being out three times as much as they are now. The few volunteers there cannot do it all! One person camnot get all out and that is what is happening; PLEASE put your own feelings for staff aside and VOLUNTEER.

Wow,thats disgusting!I hate it when bad people control good things.Let us know if you ever intend to fight the corruption.I know a lot of people would stand behind you if informed.People getting a pay-check have some nerve acting so noble and looking down there noses at volunteers!Thats SICKENING!I was thinking of volunteering before hearing THIS!

No matter how you feel about the staff, the important thing is that it is about the animals, NOT the people. Not many people have had the bad experience I have had there and NEVER would I ever encourage someone to NOT donate and I fully intend to always support the animals there. Yeah, I agree the staff does NOT deserve treats as any employees anywhere; take treats to the cats and dogs, and above all, VOLUNTEER and get those dogs out as much as possible. Make a difference in their lives.

we just picked up a kitten today from the AFHS. They were supposed to spay her but they found she had a resp infection. So they sent her home with us with meds & we will take her back for the spay in a couple weeks. They could have just sent her home with us & not said anything, and let us discover it for ourself & take her to our vet, but they are taking care of her for us. The new facility is great - you should all go visit. Remember that most folks there are volunteer, & very busy
