House fire causes $60,000 in damage

HAMILTON — A house fire at 1216 S. Second St. caused about $60,000 in damage but no injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze Sunday, May 11, stems from the occupant leaving a lit a candle, which ignited a nearby clock radio, according to the Hamilton Fire Department.
Extras
The occupant accidently knocked the radio into some bed clothing, igniting bed clothing, fire officials said.
Four engines, one truck and one medic unit responded.
