Makes 4 servings
1 fresh Serrano or jalapeno chile
1 cup finely chopped strawberries
1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon sugar, if desired
Remove stems, seeds and ribs from chile and finely chop. Stir together chile and remaining ingredients. The salsa can be made several hours ahead and chilled, covered.
