MIDDLETOWN — Joe the Plumber is on tour and will meet Butler County residents Tuesday, Oct. 28, at S&S Pools, 41 Oxford State Road.
Joe Wurzelbacher is traveling with former White House Budget Director Rob Portman as part of a statewide tour supporting Sen. John McCain's presidential bid.
Wurzelbacher and Portman will speak briefly at 2:15 p.m., according to campaign officials, and then will be available to the public.
Wurzelbacher achieved fame when he was repeatedly mentioned in the final presidential debate this month.
Wurzelbacher, a plumber, became a focal point for Republicans after he confronted Sen. Barack Obama about his tax plan. Wurzelbacher said he wants to buy the plumbing company he works for and asked the Illinois senator why Obama wants to raise his taxes.
