HAMILTON — A trial date has been set for a teenager accused of terrorizing a disabled young woman at her Hanover Twp. home in February.
Cheyenne Blanton, 17, of Progress Lane in Hamilton, was in court Friday morning, July 18, where she was expected to enter a plea, but that did not occur, according to Assistant Butler County Prosecutor Glenn Rossi.
Blanton is being tried as an adult on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, complicity to aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping, felonious assault and vandalism.
Butler County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Nastoff set Oct. 13 as a trial date for Blanton. Her $1 million bond is continued.
Blanton's boyfriend and co-defendant in the case, Joseph Nagle 17, of Morley Avenue, Hamilton, is facing the same charges. He is scheduled to appear before Butler County Common Pleas Judge Charles Pater for a plea or trial setting on July 29.
Nagle is also being held in the Butler County Jail in lieu of a $1 million bond.
Both teens, who have a child together, are accused of assaulting Ashley Clark, 18, all day Feb. 22, "hog-tying" her and gagging her with a string and panties, police said.
In May, Butler County Juvenile Court Judge Ronald Craft ruled the cases would be transferred to adult court.
