Shelter dogs to help hunt for Easter eggs

TRENTON — The Animal Friends Humane Society is hosting an Easter egg hunt on its nature trail from noon to 3 p.m. today, March 22, at its Trenton shelter.

Extras

Walk a homeless dog who can help find hidden treats along the four-acre trail.

The nonprofit shelter, located at 5225 Trenton Road, also will have an open house and adopt-a-thon. Adoption fees will be slashed to $75 for most dogs and $50 for most cats. The fee includes spay/neuter, microchip with activation, license and shots. Anyone who adopts a pet today will be entered into a drawing for door prizes.

Pet owners also may bring their dog or cat to the shelter today for a $15 microchipping.
